Assistant Safety Manager
Location:
Southern New Hampshire, occasional Boston area travel (Regional Travel Required)
Compensation:
Company vehicle, gas card, $75-100K base salary + benefits + bonus
Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Safety Manager to support and enforce safety programs across active commercial construction projects in the Boston and Southern New Hampshire regions. This role will work closely with project teams and senior safety leadership to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and reduce jobsite risk.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and enforcing company safety policies, procedures, and programs across multiple commercial construction sites
Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training to field personnel
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and site-specific safety plans
Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Partner with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to proactively address safety concerns
Regularly travel to active job sites throughout the Boston and Southern New Hampshire areas
Qualifications
2+ years of safety experience in a construction environment
(commercial construction strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices (OSHA 10 ideal)
Comfortable driving regularly between job sites in Boston and Southern New Hampshire
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field and management teams
Ability to identify hazards, enforce policies, and promote a positive safety culture
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
$75,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
