Job Responsibilities What will you be doing?

The Market Operations Associate will play a critical role in real-time market monitoring, surveillance, and operational support while contributing to the firm's broader mission of building highly automated and efficient market operations systems. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and works closely with Compliance, Finance, Commercial and Technology teams. This role is uniquely suited for someone who has thrived in both the structured, high-pressure world of top-tier trading firms and the hands-on operational challenges of leading derivatives exchanges. As a Market Operations Associate, you’ll do more than monitor and maintain systems—you’ll build, improve, and operate critical processes.

Monitor live trading activity and market conditions. This position would assume the role within either of the following shift times:

Opening Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm CT

Closing Shift: 1:00pm - 9:00pm CT

Identify, document, and

suspicious activity

to Compliance when necessary

Investigate

real-time market incidents

and own critical path escalations to ElectronX Engineering, while providing regular and active remediation updates to customers

This role will require dedicated time in the office five days a week, based either in ElectronX’s Chicago or New York City offices

Automation & Process Innovation

Collaborate with Engineering

to automate monitoring tools and create

real-time alerts

Develop

Python scripts

for

data analysis and operational reporting

Use

Python & SQL

to build

dashboards and visualization tools

to improve market insights

Identify inefficiencies and

implement scalable solutions

Operational Support & Growth

Oversee

daily trading operations

and system monitoring

Assist with

onboarding new participants

and troubleshooting issues

Work with

Compliance

on investigations and regulatory requests

Contribute to

business continuity planning and testing

Qualifications

5+ years of experience

in derivatives trading operations (market ops, surveillance, trading ops, etc.)

Experience with

Python & SQL
