Community Library Manager The Community Library Manager is responsible for managing the operations of a community library.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and supervises all staff, providing timely feedback, fostering learning and development, and modeling exceptional public service.

Responsible for programming, outreach, physical maintenance, collection development, and community liaison.

Keeps records and statistics; prepares reports.

Demonstrates competencies: initiative, flexibility, cooperation, teamwork, exemplary customer service.

Performs other duties as required.

Schedule includes Saturdays and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications

ALA accredited Master’s degree and New York State Public Librarian’s Certificate.

At least one year of managerial experience, including full‑time performance management & supervision of librarian staff.

Demonstrated knowledge of library policies and procedures.
