Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking an experienced
Planner Scheduler - Level 2
to join their Engineering & Construction team in Juno Beach, FL. This is an exciting 8-month contract opportunity paying
$34/hour
for a professional with 6-10 years of experience in power system operations and scheduling.
You’ll play a critical role in scheduling and dispatching generation resources, ensuring compliance with NERC reliability standards, and optimizing energy operations in real-time system conditions.
Schedule and dispatch generation resources to economically balance load and generation
Evaluate and approve OASIS requests and Tags while performing energy accounting functions
Develop and maintain work orders ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient execution
Coordinate committing, decommitting, and outages of power plants with System Operators
Perform load forecasting to optimize generation dispatch mix
Lead scheduling processes for maintenance, compliance, and project execution
Conduct root cause analysis for operational efficiency improvements
Ensure rapid recovery from loss of generation to comply with NERC requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or professional certification required
6-10 years of experience in scheduling, operations, or power system planning
Experience in load forecasting, transmission and distribution operations
Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification required
Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no alcohol/drug offenses in past 5 years)
Real-time system planning experience preferred
