The Director of Cath Lab is responsible for the oversight and management of the Cardiovascular Services Department; works with patients from adolescent to
geriatric. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing and/or accredited school of radiology and/or accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in Cardiovascular Services. 2 years management experience in related field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Director of Cardiovascular Services
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
Possess a current Texas State License or AART, ACVT or RCIS
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
NA
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
