We’re looking for a Senior **Process Engineer** who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and is excited to **optimize, innovate, and improve high-speed film production lines**.In this role, you’ll be a technical leader on the floor—driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Commercial teams.**What You’ll Do**As a Process Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening process capability and operational excellence across our film lines:**Process & Operational Excellence*** Provide **daily technical troubleshooting** support for safety, quality, and productivity challenges.* Analyze and trend process KPIs to drive **continuous improvement** in safety, yield, efficiency, and cost.* Develop, update, and sustain **process documentation and Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs)**.* Lead root cause analysis and implement **corrective and preventive actions**.**Safety Leadership*** Proactively identify and implement **process and equipment safety improvements**.* Support safe work practices for daily operations.* Participate in environmental, health, and safety audits to ensure regulatory and company compliance.**Project & Innovation Support*** Coordinate and support **planned downtime events**, process upgrades, and capital projects.* Support **new process development, product commercialization, and trial execution**.* Partner with R&D and Commercial teams to translate innovation into reliable manufacturing processes.**Collaboration & People Development*** Train and mentor operators and training personnel on new processes and equipment.* Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, R&D, and Sales.* Serve as a trusted technical resource in a **team-based manufacturing culture**.**What We’re Looking For****Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in **Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering**, or related discipline.* **6-8 years** of experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Continuous Improvement roles.* Strong working knowledge of **Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma**, or similar methodologies.* Proven troubleshooting, data analysis, and statistical problem-solving skills.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Willingness to provide **off-hours support** for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.**Preferred Experience*** Experience with **film processing and film manufacturing equipment**.* Hands-on experience in high-speed, continuous manufacturing environments.**Skills That Set You Apart*** Ownership mindset with a passion for improving how things work.* Ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.* Strategic thinker with strong decision-making capabilities.* Proficiency with **MS Office**, data analysis tools, and project management fundamentals.* Business-fluent English.**Why This Role Is Exciting*** **High-Impact, Hands-On Engineering:** You’ll work directly on film manufacturing lines where your ideas and solutions immediately improve safety, quality, and productivity—not a desk-only role.* **End-to-End Ownership:** From troubleshooting daily issues to supporting capital projects, process upgrades, and new product commercialization, you’ll see your work move from concept to production.* **Advanced Film Technology:** Gain exposure to complex film processing equipment and cutting-edge materials used in diverse, real-world applications.* **Cross-Functional Influence:** Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Commercial teams—your voice will matter in decisions that shape manufacturing performance.* **Continuous Improvement Culture:** Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving in an environment that values innovation and practical improvement.* **Career Growth & Visibility:** This role offers strong visibility with site leadership and clear pathways for growth within Mitsubishi Chemical’s global organization.* **Safety-First Mindset:** Be a leader in creating safer processes and systems while working for a company that prioritizes people and sustainability.***The salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000.
