About the Role The
Technical Manager, Interior Design
is a critical support role within the Miami studio, ensuring that creative vision is translated into clear, coordinated, and executable design documentation. This position sits at the intersection of design, construction, and procurement, supporting the
Head of Interior Design
and the design team across all project phases.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the creative process deeply but thrives on structure, precision, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate design documentation across all phases, from concept development through construction.
Support the Interior Design leadership in organizing project timelines, deliverables, and priorities.
Act as a technical liaison between design, consultants, vendors, and construction teams.
Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, schedules, and FF&E documentation.
Track material selections, samples, shop drawings, and approvals to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent.
Monitor vendor coordination, lead times, and technical constraints.
Attend site visits and construction meetings to support design execution and resolve technical issues.
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation, drawing sets, and project records.
Help improve internal workflows, technical standards, and coordination processes within the design team.
Ideal Background
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in technical design, project coordination, or design operations.
Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and FF&E coordination.
Experience working on hospitality, residential, or branded environments preferred.
High level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Confident communicator able to bridge creative intent and technical requirements.
Proficiency in design and documentation tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, preferred; Adobe Suite).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic studio environment.
