Commercial Credit Group Inc (CCG)
is an independent national commercial equipment finance and leasing company focused on purchase money and refinance transactions in the construction, fleet transportation, waste/environmental and machine tool industries. CCG does equipment financing different than any other lender. We consider the character, collateral and cash flow of the borrower to make our credit decisions, often allowing us to lend money when a bank or captive lender won't. We realize there are ebbs and flows to the business and take the time to listen to the customers' stories. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, CCG has made NC’s Mid-Market Fast 40 List for the 12 th time.
CCG is seeking an Asset Manager to support operations across the Southcentral/Dallas region. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the repossession of heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct physical inspections of recovered equipment to assess condition and determine resale or redeployment value.
Oversee the repair of equipment and inventory.
Coordinate with repair facilities, evaluate repair estimates, and manage the readiness of assets for resale.
Travel frequently within the assigned region to oversee repossession efforts and support field operations.
Oversee and coordinate the inventory of heavy equipment assets from defaulted accounts across multiple sites or regions.
Manage relationships with third-party repossession agents, transport providers, and storage facilities to ensure timely and secure recovery.
Maintain asset tracking systems and repair status reports.
On occasion but rarely, ensure repossession activities comply with local, state, and federal laws, including UCC and lien enforcement regulations.
Sometimes collaborate with legal, credit, and collections teams to prepare necessary documentation and support enforcement actions.
Qualifications
Experience in asset recovery, repossession, collections, or equipment finance, ideally with heavy equipment (construction, agriculture, mining).
Strong knowledge of repossession laws, lien enforcement, and asset recovery best practices.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, asset management platforms, and field operations.
Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in sensitive situations.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical background for trucks and trailers or heavy equipment.
Knowledge of auction and resale markets for heavy equipment.
