Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst
to join our Hospital IT team in an on-site, full-time capacity. This role supports the Epic Professional Billing (PB) application and works closely with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Compliance, and Clinical stakeholders to ensure efficient billing operations and system optimization. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, in-person environment and is committed to supporting hospital operations directly on site.
Key Responsibilities
Provide application support, configuration, build, and optimization for Epic Professional Billing (PB).
Partner with Revenue Cycle and operational leadership to analyze workflows and implement effective Epic PB solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performing root-cause analysis and coordinating timely resolutions.
Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory updates.
Conduct testing, validation, and documentation of system changes.
Develop and maintain workflows, system documentation, and end-user support materials.
Participate in meetings, design sessions, and operational support activities on site.
Provide after-hours or on-call support as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Epic Professional Billing (PB) certification required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Epic PB in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows, including charge capture, claims, coding, and billing processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Epic Resolute PB in an acute care hospital setting.
Knowledge of Epic HB/PB integration.
Experience supporting system upgrades and large-scale initiatives.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting professional billing.
