Position Summary
The Midwest Finance Associate position will assist the Midwest finance team with planning and executing a fundraising plan for major donors in the Midwest Region of the United States including Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
This position is based in Washington, DC. The Midwest Finance Associate will manage administrative tasks, database management, and assist with donor prospecting and outreach as appropriate. The Midwest Finance Associate will report to the Midwest Finance Director and assist the Midwest Finance Director and Midwest Deputy Finance Director on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Write briefing materials for internal and external meetings and events.
Develop meeting agendas.
Update weekly reports.
Facilitate vetting processes for donors and surrogates.
Manage regional donor databases and lists.
Assist with regional call-time.
Travel and staff surrogates at DNC meetings and events as needed.
Support the Midwest Finance Director and Midwest Finance Deputy Director with administrative and writing tasks.
Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of the regional team.
Assist with donor prospecting, outreach, and maintenance as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects.
Previous committee, government, nonprofit, or campaign experience is highly preferred.
Previous experience using NGP is highly preferred.
A proactive attitude and ability to plan ahead.
Travel The Midwest Finance Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 1-15% of the time.
Salary The starting salary for the Midwest Finance Associate position is $54,100, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek.
This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role. See 52 U.S.C. 30121; 11 C.F.R. 110.20(i).
