Job Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and work instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and speeds/feeds for machining operations.
Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, part dimensions, and quality checks.
Troubleshoot and adjust setups to maintain tolerances and surface finishes.
Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues and optimize processes.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques (turning, milling, drilling, grinding).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
Experience with aerospace or high-precision components preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
Familiarity with PDM systems and basic MS Office skills.
Understanding of load paths and structural considerations for aerospace parts.
