Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Maintenance Mechanic
to support inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel-powered industrial equipment. This role focuses on
diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive service
in a fast-paced industrial environment.
The
Maintenance Mechanic
will work with compressors, generators, and related equipment while maintaining safety, documentation, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines used in compressors, generators, and industrial equipment
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant flushes
Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving fuel systems, turbochargers, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
Use diagnostic tools and software to assess engine performance
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and shop equipment
Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation technicians
Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings and audits
Required Qualifications
3+ years of diesel engine maintenance experience, preferably in industrial or oil & gas settings
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Must meet OSHA requirements
Ability to multi-task effectively
Working Conditions
Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and reaching
Standing at least 25% of the time and sitting up to 75% of the time
Frequent lifting with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs
Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, vendors, and emergency personnel
Required use of PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, and steel-toed boots
