Electro-Mechanical Technician

Chroma US seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support both R&D and Production.
Because Chroma’s business portfolio spans ATE, handlers, burn-in systems, PXI, solar, and battery technologies, the role offers extensive opportunities to work across a wide range of platforms and product lines.
Location: Chandler, AZ
Primary Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to engineering specifications, schematics, and work instructions.
Participate in prototype builds, pilot runs, and full‑scale production assemblies.
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and systems.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve assembly processes and product quality.
Perform soldering, wiring, terminating, and basic electrical connections as required.
Document assembly steps, test results, and modifications for both production and R&D purposes.
Reading technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders to meet precise requirements.
Assist with inventory management of parts, tools, and materials.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors in both R&D and production processes.
Some travel may be required.
Qualification / Education / Experience / Skills
High school diploma required; at least two years of hands‑on experience in electrical and mechanical work. Self‑driven, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Solid reading, writing, and basic math skills.
Proficient with computers and standard software tools, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired skills
Mechanical aptitude strongly valued; experience with automotive repair or trade skills is beneficial, even if not performed professionally.
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying schematics and technical diagrams.
Experience troubleshooting electronic systems down to the component level.
Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and electrical component theory.
