Requirements to Apply
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Minimum of three years of full-time RN practice (or part-time equivalent)
Active, unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Ohio
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Hands‑on experience in a nursing lab or simulation lab environment
Preferred
Prior teaching or academic experience
Experience instructing students in mental health or psychiatric nursing
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and student‑centered MSN‑prepared Nursing Faculty Member to join our academic team and teach Mental Health Nursing at our Maumee campus. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a collaborative learning environment and enjoys guiding the next generation of nurses through classroom instruction, simulation learning, and hands‑on clinical experiences.
The faculty member will help shape learner confidence and competence by delivering curriculum‑aligned content, evaluating student skills, and supporting success both inside and outside the classroom. Simulation and lab teaching are key components of this position, making prior experience in these environments essential.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and mentor nursing students in classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with faculty teams to ensure full implementation of the curriculum
Participate in faculty organizations and campus‑level curriculum committees
Tutor and advise students to support academic successImplement and oversee clinical experiences when applicable
Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
Support continuous improvement and student engagement initiatives
General Credentialing Requirements (Completed After Offer) Candidates must provide or complete:
Official transcripts for all degrees earned
Current AHA BLS or ACLS certification
A physical exam completed within the past 12 months
Immunization documentation for Hepatitis B, MMR, TDAP/Tetanus, TB (2‑step), Varicella, and seasonal Flu (Oct 1–Apr 1 hires)
