Battery Cell manufacturing lab Technician
Location: Warren, MI
Pay Range: $25-26 per hour
Assignment Length: 1 year with possibility of extension

Job Description:
Prepare both aqueous and non-aqueous slurries within specified compositions and viscosities
Coat metal foils/substrates via slot die, doctor blade and comma reverse coating techniques
Cell assembly of pouch and prismatic battery cell variations including electrode calendaring, foil notching, tab welding, packaging/ can insertion, and electrolyte injection
Battery cycler operation including cell conditioning, formation, degassing, and end of line inspection steps
Run off production, multiple processes that feed in each other, essentially an assembly line but they are separated by rooms, they will be stationed to a room and usually work with 2 other technicians and 2 engineers
This need is for the coating room - applying the mixture to the foil, spraying it
Requirements:
Degree required - 2-year technical degree
Manufacturing experience, lab experience, emission and dyno technicians seem to translate well for this role
Years of experience - at least 5 years (flexible on this because this is a newer field)
Soft skills - being able to time manage, working with a team, quality/safety orientation
Nice to have - roll to roll experience which is tape, film, manufacturer
Nice to have - Troubleshooting ability or PLC or experience with pneumatics or hydraulics
