Water Truck Operators run machinery for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Water Truck Operators skillfully navigate quarry roads and berms. Dependent upon heavy equipment experience, water truck operators will need high to little supervision for accomplishing their essential functions depending upon experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
90% of job: Operator of a water truck. Responsible for the safe operations of assigned water truck. Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations. Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on water truck. Ensuring equipment is properly positioned for loading and unloading of water. Performing other plant or pit maintenance/project activities other than heavy equipment operation when needed. Promptly reporting all faults to the Plant Manager or Foreman. Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe. 10% of job: Participate in meetings and training as directed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED. Work Experience: Prior experience in a quarry or large construction site is a plus but we will train the right individual. Behavioral Competencies

Ability to lift and carry 40lbs. Ability to wear a respirator. Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment, stationary and mobile equipment if needed. Willingness to assist with maintenance/project activities other than heavy equipment operation when needed. Identifying and reporting rode, high walk, and equipment issues. ENVIORNMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels.
