Brake Press Operator - 3rd shift Join Avalign Technologies’ 3rd shift brake press operator role at our Greenwood, IN facility. You will install and operate a brake press to form parts per blueprint specifications and work instructions.

What You’ll Do

Reads and interprets blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed

Completes forming responsibilities, which may include offsets, large radii and standard bends

Uses inspection gauges such as calipers (dial and vernier), micrometers, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions; reports dimensional problems to supervisor or set‑up person

Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts

Completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database

Maintains tools, measuring instruments, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner

Reports all equipment problems or malfunctions to supervisor/manager immediately; maintains clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

1 year of related experience and/or training

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set‑up and operations to be formed

Ability to set‑up and operate brake press machine, input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
