About the Role Do you have a safety mindset and a strong attention to detail? Are you good at reading measurements and able to problem solve effectively? Are you looking for an environment where you are a team player? If you answered yes to these questions, then Amsted Automotive has the job for you. Our press operators are responsible for unloading a powder metal press, inspecting parts, and doing quality checks to ensure the parts are within specific tolerances. Hours are Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am. May require some overtime and weekend hours. Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.

What You’ll Do

Process quality parts on powder metal presses of related equipment.

Use calibrated gauges to properly check and record production on specific tolerances as required by process documentation.

Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.

Help train and assist operators as required.

Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Manual dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours and work in a fast paced environment.

Experience Preferred

Previous manufacturing experience

Previous experience following a quality system (IATF/ISO9000)
