Veterinary Referral Center (VRC) is a comprehensive, referral specialty & emergency critical care veterinary hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania. We operate 24/7, offering advanced imaging, surgery, and emergency/critical care services. At VRC you will work alongside a team of experienced, board-certified veterinarians and advanced specialized training nurses using the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals on an emergency basis and/or long‑term ailments. Schedule
3/12s needed Once a month on call is required. Nurses choose whether to do Anesthesia on call or Treatment on call. Compensation
Hourly range $18–34/hour Overnight shifts receive $3/hr shift differential Weekend shifts receive $3/hr shift differential Credentialed Veterinary Technicians receive an additional $2 an hour Veterinary Technician Specialists receive an additional $4 an hour Anesthesia tech on‑call stipend $350 on top of hourly pay Treatment tech on‑call stipend $300 on top of hourly pay Preferred Skills
Proficiency in venipuncture & IVC placement Proper handling/restraint with an understanding of animal behavior (fear‑free familiarity is a plus) Broad knowledge of small animal surgery, disease processes, and medicine; comfortable with dosages and calculations, including CRI’s & IVF additives At least 1 year of veterinary nursing experience required; 3 years preferred Flexible, adaptable, self‑motivated, and a team player Benefits
