Machine Operator II / Press Operator – 2nd Shift Position Title: Machine Operator II – 2nd Shift

Reports To: EPS Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt

AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is a leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America. The company is seeking a Machine Operator II to support its mission to provide reliable, innovative plate heat exchanger products, solutions and services that surpass the expectations of food manufacturers.

Wage

$26.50 – $29.00 per hour (plus swing‑shift differential)

Works 10 hours per day, 4 days per week

Job Description

As a Machine Operator II, the employee will perform a wide range of tasks. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Operating new plate blanking, pressing, porting, and stocking using hydraulic and mechanical presses

Material handling (overhead crane, hoists, forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack)

Operating industrial oven and leak‑testing equipment

Using small tools and equipment to complete daily tasks

Completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Keeping work areas clean by sweeping or mopping when necessary

Comprehending basic written instructions

Counting and recording parts and equipment accurately

Cleaning plates and performing dye checks

Understanding plate punching diagrams for AGC plates

Operating press controls independently

Recording data on shop‑floor order sheets (routers)

Participating in continuous safety and production improvement efforts

Pulling plastic off newly manufactured plates

Building pallets as required

Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with hydraulic press operation, machining or tooling preferred

High school diploma or GED (trade or other secondary schooling a plus)

Troubleshooting and multitasking skills

Basic addition and subtraction, reading, and writing skills

Ability to follow directions and focus on completing tasks

Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks

Will wear all appropriate PPE

Ability to follow safety rules and the 5S principles of a work environment

Ability to perform repetitive work including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods of time

Capable of lifting 50 lbs
