in Columbus is seeking 4th year Audiology Externs for a twelve-month, full-time, paid externship position for the 2026-2027 academic year. If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for providing excellent patient care, we encourage you to take a look at our externship opportunity.
Clinical opportunities that will be given to the Extern:
Pediatric evaluations (Infants & School Age)
Adult hearing evaluations
Tympanometry
Otoacoustic emissions
Vestibular assessments
Hearing aid selection/fitting/dispensing
Audiologic rehabilitation
Cochlear implant evaluations & Rehabilitation
Tinnitus assessments & Rehabilitation
Cerumen management
Requirements Extern candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology program and have completed all clinical and educational requirements of their program.
To participate it is expected that the extern to have mastered these skills before their clinical externship:
Proficient audiometric testing abilities for adult and pediatric populations.
Working knowledge of ENG/VNG testing.
Working knowledge of hearing aid technology.
Ability to interact with patients, supervisors, physicians, and support staff appropriately and professionally.
