— every part, every process, every person What You’ll Do As a
Motor Assembler , you’ll be a key part of a skilled manufacturing team responsible for assembling high-quality electric motors used in demanding naval environments. You will: Assemble electric motors and components including
stators, rotors, and windings
using hand and power tools Follow
work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
to complete assembly tasks accurately Install and fit components such as
bearings, shafts, and brackets
with precision Perform
basic inspections
to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards Assist with
motor lead wiring
and support basic motor testing Maintain a
clean, organized, and safe
work environment Collaborate with team members to
troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges Document completed work and report defects or concerns to supervisors Participate in
hands-on training programs
to build skills and advance within the team What You Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Mechanical aptitude with experience using basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) Ability to follow instructions and learn to read blueprints and technical documents Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Ability to lift up to
50 lbs
and stand for extended periods Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly Basic understanding of electric motors or mechanical systems Interest in building a
long-term career
in manufacturing or motor assembly Position Criteria Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices Willingness to work overtime or flex into different areas as needed Strong commitment to quality and precision Comfort working with dielectric solvents while following safety protocols This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of US Citizenship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
