Full job description We are seeking a skilled
Data Analyst
to support the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration on Children, Youth, and Families (ACYF) Children's Bureau (CB). This role contributes to the mission of planning, managing, coordinating, and supporting child abuse and neglect prevention and child welfare services programs while promoting continuous improvement in the delivery of child welfare services.
Responsibilities
Manage and support grantee profiles and clusters
Guide data analysis and materials review
Provide technical assistance on data quality
Integrate varying-quality data from multiple sources
Utilize tools such as SAS and/or Python for evaluations
Contribute to reports on child and family outcomes
Compile results, identify trends, and present best practices
Perform data analysis to support cross-site reports
Contribute to annual reports and other deliverables
Collaborate effectively with team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience analyzing and reporting data (experience with child welfare data a plus)
5+ years of experience in child welfare policy and program evaluation
5+ years of experience in child welfare technical assistance (TA), including report development for research audiences
Experience analyzing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
Detail-oriented with strong ability to anticipate needs and problems and act proactively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines
5+ years of experience working with grants (project development, management, and evaluation); experience with federal grants strongly preferred
5 years of experience performing monitoring and evaluation activities
3-6 years of experience working in community development in distressed communities, especially related to child welfare
Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (especially Word and Excel)
Preferred:
Experience with ACF reporting tools
Experience with analytical programs such as Tableau, NVivo, or Power BI
Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Access, or similar software
