Adjunct Faculty – Student Success Navigator 1448 Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Description The School of Physician Assistant Studies – Boston seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high‑quality learning experiences and education for students in the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Program. The selected candidate will work primarily in a remote capacity, with responsibilities centered on academic mentoring, early identification of student challenges, and facilitation of student support strategies to promote progression and professional development. This role supports graduate‑level PA students across didactic and clinical education.

Responsibilities:

Provide outreach individualized academic coaching, mentoring, interventions, and success planning for PA students.

Monitor academic performance and implement early intervention strategies for at‑risk learners.

Conduct student success meetings both remotely and in person as needed.

Collaborate with other members of the Student Success Team.

Collaborate with course directors and faculty to identify and support student learning needs.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student meetings, progress, and outcomes.

Coordinate with university student support services, including ADA compliance, counseling, and academic resource offices.

Assist in interventions, remediation plan development, implementation, and follow‑up.

Report trends, student needs, and outcomes to the Program Director.

Provide service to the program, including ongoing development of student support tools and processes.

Use the university's learning management system and approved communication tools to support student engagement.

Engage in weekly meetings with student success rounds team.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements Required Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies or a related healthcare field.

Minimum of 5 years of work experience in healthcare.

Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.

Commitment to graduate and professional education and student success.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals).

Must be able to use technology for videoconferencing, documentation, and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in academic coaching, advising, and remediation with physician assistant students.

Experience in best practice guidelines in graduate healthcare education.

Experience teaching, mentoring, or advising students at a graduate level.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Compensation The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the university reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.

Hiring Range: $11,800
