Surety Underwriting Technical Assistant
6‑month CONTRACT‑TO‑HIRE opportunity.
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location: Parsippany, NJ (Free Parking – Must be local to Parsippany or willing to travel to/from office; training will be 1‑2 days in office initially, then 2‑4 days a month, remainder remote. Free parking, cafeteria on‑site.)

Job Description:
Provides technical and operational support to Commercial Surety Underwriters by executing underwriting‑related processes, managing documentation, and maintaining data integrity across underwriting systems and platforms.
Interview Process
Virtual with Twanisha and possibly, Associate Manager Elana Sanchez and/or Dan Lewis
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Review and validate financial statements, bond applications, questionnaires, and underwriting documentation
Enter, update, and audit account, bond, and agency data across underwriting and document management systems
Support renewal, mid‑term, and transactional bond processing within defined authority levels
Monitor queues and workflows to ensure timely completion of underwriting tasks
Generate reports related to risk evaluations, portfolio status, and underwriting activity
Coordinate with agents, service centers, accounting, and claims teams to resolve data or processing issues
Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority limits, and documentation standards
Perform additional operational and system‑related tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements
Prolonged computer use
Extended periods of sitting
Predictable attendance with occasional onsite presence for training or meetings
Job Requirements Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
