Job Summary The Production Supervisor position supervises designated plant operations with responsibilities for production, personnel scheduling, process compliance, maintenance, area cleanliness, and other production-related activities.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Supervises production operations and maintenance for designated areas.

Coordinates activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Ensures assigned work area production and process controls are compliant to company expectations and that production personnel are working to GMP.

Establishes and monitors work area performance for production and quality standards.

Controls and manages labor, overtime, and repair expenses.

Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replaces or adjusts plant facilities and equipment when necessary.

Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.

Ensures shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements

BS degree or AA preferred.

Prior experience in a production and/or warehouse environment required. Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.

Equivalent of 2+ years supervisory experience required.

Prior experience in process or operations management preferred.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.

Prior exposure to Quality Management Systems preferred.

CAD/CAM knowledge and experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Adhere and support KLS Martin's quality and safety policies and procedures.

Ability to retrieve and interpret documentation.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally.

Problem solving & decision making /adaptability & flexibility.

Strong leadership skills are required.
