Applications are now being accepted for a part-time
TITLE I ASSISTANT
position. The minimum rate is $18.70 per hour, and employee benefits are not included with this position. Title 1 Assistants work approximately 15 hours per week.
The primary function of the
Reading Intervention
position is to assist the Reading Specialist and professional staff with the delivery of the reading program and support services to students.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or two years of college required; PA teaching certification and experience working with school age children preferred.
Strong communications skills.
Experience or skills with computers is preferred.
Must possess the temperament to work with students and adults exhibiting a wide range of emotions, and have the physical ability to perform the essential duties
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the teacher, Principal and/or Teaching and Learning Supervisor plan and deliver lessons, administer assessments.
Assist students with skills and comprehension.
Assist students and teachers with computer software use.
Perform Title I clerical duties as directed.
Attend in-service and training programs.
Attend parent/school meetings as requested.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
