Kenworth Louisiana
Summary
Operates under the supervision of the Parts Manager and are primarily responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, taking inventory, keeping records, and organizing for the shipping of product stored in the warehouse. This person will also lead the primary responsibilities of the warehouse and delegate to other warehouse personnel.
Essential Duties
Receive, sort, and store new and existing products
Take inventory and keep records of product stored in the warehouse
Organize for the shipping of product stored in the warehouse
Operate a forklift to load, unload, or sort product
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Report any discrepancies in inventoried product
Generate creative solutions to inventory issues as they arise
Maintain a team of warehouse personnel
Supervise warehouse team in similar duties
Delegate duties and create systems to help build an effective team environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior Forklift Certification Preferred, but not Required
Work Environment The employee will be exposed to moving parts. Exposed also to grease, chemicals, dust, dirt, and the heat and cold of the outdoors. This position requires the employee to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Employees must also be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
