Position: Health Actuary - Manager

Actuarial Summary:
An external search is underway for an experienced health actuary to support enterprise-level risk management and strategic analytics within a fast-growing value‑based care organization. This role partners closely with finance, operations, and market leaders to deliver actuarial modeling, CMS risk adjustment analysis, and claims insights that directly inform financial performance, forecasting, and long‑term strategy within Medicare Advantage.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
ASA required with clear progression toward FSA; Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field
5+ years of actuarial experience, with strong preference for Medicare Advantage and risk adjustment exposure
Lead and enhance IBNR models, revenue forecasting, reserve analysis, and monthly close processes
Perform CMS risk adjustment modeling, member-level risk score calculations, and analysis of CMS public data
Analyze payer claims data to identify cost drivers, trends, and market-level performance insights
Advanced technical skills in SQL, SAS, and Excel; experience supporting or leading small actuarial teams preferred
