This is a full‑time position with a flexible start time of 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. You will work five 8‑hour shifts Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
Schedule and input all appointments in the scheduling module in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all pre‑procedure/preoperative activities are scheduled or completed.
Manage patient cancellations, center cancellations (e.g., equipment issues), and additions to the schedule in accordance with center parameters.
Print patient schedule and pull patient charts daily.
Facilitate the admission process by greeting patients and visitors, obtaining patient identification, insurance, and initiating admission procedures.
Assemble files and maintain patient medical and financial records confidentially.
Complete front‑end billing processes, ensuring all information is entered into the computer registration module.
Perform insurance verification and complete all required prior authorization or other payer actions.
Assist with patient transportation when qualified per the Company Transportation Policy.
Ensure appropriate signatures are included on all charts and admission data per FMCNA policies and procedures.
Scan, file, and complete documentation within 24 hours of the visit, including physician reports to referral sources.
Communicate changes in procedures and insurance to internal parties and patients immediately.
Perform daily encounter checks to assure reporting accuracy.
Coordinate collection, processing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, documentation, and distribution of medical records per policy.
Maintain logs for medical record release.
Provide information for research or study projects involving patient care in accordance with policy.
Oversee office materials, inventory shipments, and deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1–2 years of related experience, preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing.
Proficiency in computers and related software, such as Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to supporting software applications.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions The physical demands and work environment are characteristic of a health care facility with controlled air temperature and moderate noise levels. Employees may be exposed to infectious materials. The work includes desk and computer duties and interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $29.00
