You will apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.

Responsibilities What you'll do...

Troubleshoot machinery, robot, automation, and controls issues and downtime

Use Factory Information Systems (FIS), plant monitoring software, to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installations.

Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements

Update program backups for machinery and automation

Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots

Review risk assessments as part of a team evaluating equipment safety.

Working with Programmable Logic and Controls (PLC)

Siemens and Modicon programming

Independently troubleshoot all equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery

Works with PLC/Computer Numerical Control (CNC) – Siemens

Works with ABB robot

Read and modify electrical prints and schematics, Auto CAD

Qualifications You'll have...

High school diploma or GED

1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products

1 +year of Controls Engineering experience (can include co-op/internships)

Even better, you may have...

Electrical background (electrician or technician) preferred

Familiarity with VFD, Servo, Profinet

Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience

TQM and Kaizen methods experience

MEA, PPAP, and DOE experience

Visual Factory Management experience

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
