Overview
Join the team driving the future of Recycling! Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Pennsylvania recycling operation. The pay range for this position is $20–$35 per hour, depending on education and experience. The schedule is an overnight 12‑hour shift on a 2‑2‑3 schedule with initial training on a daylight schedule before transitioning to overnight.
Responsibilities
Keep the operation running smoothly through proactive preventative maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical issues that keep production moving.
Inspect, service, and optimize extruders, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other key equipment.
Install new equipment, calibrate machines, and continually improve uptime and efficiency.
Partner with operators and managers to deliver exceptional service.
Lead with safety to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Perform miscellaneous job duties as required.
Basic Requirements
At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (extrusion, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems a plus).
Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
Hands‑on skills with power/hand tools, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Knowledge of PLCs, Lean manufacturing, and 5S principles.
A strong team mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or GED (trade school, associate’s degree, or welding/fabrication skills preferred).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.
This role is safety sensitive.
Must consent to motor vehicle record screening, criminal background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
Must have reliable transportation.
Maintain consistent and timely attendance.
Eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming.
Skills in welding and metal fabrication.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems.
Knowledge of industrial automation or robotics.
Background in mechanical repair, machine installation, or process improvement.
Work Environment
Safety‑First Culture: Hearing protection and other PPE are required; all required PPE is provided.
Manufacturing Setting: 100,000‑plus square‑foot recycling facility with constant production activity.
Dynamic Conditions: Seasonal temperature changes and constant coordination across teams.
Team‑Oriented Atmosphere: Part of a 100+ employee operation where collaboration, communication, and accountability are essential.
On Your Feet: Responsibilities require moving across large plant areas on concrete floors.
Potential Limited Travel: May be required to maintain offsite warehouse locations and training.
