Job Summary
HOLT CAT, the largest Caterpillar heavy equipment dealership in the United States, is hiring a full‑time Parts Warehouse Lead at our Bridgeport, Texas location, situated at 707 W. Highway 380, Bridgeport, Texas 76426. This position is responsible for assuming leadership roles and assisting in the successful daily management of the parts warehouse functions. The Parts Warehouse Lead is responsible for responding to company needs in a positive, caring manner while showing a sense of urgency in communicating with customers in the processing of their parts orders. This position assists the Parts Warehouse Supervisor in providing direction and support for parts warehouse and personnel to ensure that customer needs are satisfied while adhering to company policies and procedure.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self‑development.
Essential Functions
Models, promotes, and reinforces the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in parts warehouse. To be monitored by management observation and stock order analysis reports, as well as daily and year end physical inventories
Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self‑improvement and achievement of other KRA's
Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
Places 3rd party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
Supports other departments’ peripheral projects to ensure company success and achievement of stated goals, as monitored by management observation and planning
Provides a significant amount of task and behavior‑oriented supervision, mentoring, and training to others
Assists with interviews
Assists with performance reviews for Parts Warehouse Clerks 1 & 2
Assists with documentation of corrective actions
Handles majority of administrative
WMS
duties (exceptions, searcher queues, order escalations, etc)
Ensures monthly safety training and meetings are attended by all personnel
Performs housekeeping duties while adhering to contamination control guidelines
Works overtime as required by workload
Assumes turn in after‑hour call out rotation to assist customers in after hour call out needs. To be measured by adherence to set schedule and call out report provided to management by the answering service, and customer feedback
Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs to include on call rotation
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines to include order pulling, job related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder JSA, battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
Extensive working knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Extensive working knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
Ability to operate a conventional forklift
Ability to operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions
Ability to be self‑starting and self‑motivated
Effective influencing abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write, and understand information
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience
Technical training preferred
Six or more years of industry warehouse experience
Supervisory Responsibilities

Travel
Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays

Work Environment
Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high‑pressure water, and high‑speed rotating equipment
Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
