Syndicate Operations Analyst – FI Income Municipal Support

TD Securities’ Municipal Syndicate Operations Desk offers a unique opportunity to work in support of a fast‑growing and diversifying fixed‑income origination business. The role primarily supports the Municipal Public Finance underwriting and syndicate desks, the tender option bond (TOB) and commercial paper (CP) businesses, and works closely with a highly integrated team to build strong relationships with internal partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Provide operational support throughout the lifecycle of primary market municipal offerings, including CUSIP requests, good‑faith payments, announcements and dissemination in DTCC, and monitoring activity in EMMA/MSRB.
Manage funding and final settlement through the third‑party custodian, and lead successful underwriting executions with issuers, advisors, bond counsels, trustees and syndicate insurers.
Support TOB activity as remarketing agent and originator, including unwind processes and settlement.
Support CP issuance and fee collection as remarketing agent.
Track and accept incoming funds related to municipal syndicate, remarketing and trading desk activity.
Monitor and action trade exceptions in the Bloomberg Blotter and custodian’s settlement platform across Muni Syndicate, TOB, and CP businesses.
Cross‑train with Debt Capital Markets and Global Equity Derivatives Syndicate Operations Desks to provide backup support.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Finance or a related field.
3+ years’ experience in Capital Markets Operations: Fixed Income Underwriting & Syndicate Support.
Experience with Fed Wire setup and release, invoicing receivables and tracking.
Knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS, MSRB EMMA, DTCC, IPREO and Pershing’s Nex360 systems; proficiency with Excel Macros and Python is a plus.
Team player who collaborates and motivates others across teams.
Able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑sensitive environment while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.
A self‑starter comfortable in a complex role that interfaces regularly with clients, front office, technology, finance and trade support teams.
Critical thinking, risk‑management mindset and a deep understanding of TDS’s clients and internal business partners.
Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills; anticipates questions, finds alternative solutions and identifies clear objectives.
