In this role you will be providing administrative support for the Place-based Partnership team, and local partners as we develop a place-based approach to developing physical activity and health and wellbeing of the local community in East Suffolk.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Salary: £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata
Hours: Part Time – 14.8 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term – fixed term to February 2028
Workplace: Hybrid – office at Riduna Park Melton and from home
Travel and flexibility required within East Suffolk and surrounding counties
Active Suffolk is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, hosted by East Suffolk Council. It is dedicated to increasing physical activity and sport participation to improve health and wellbeing in Suffolk. The role is funded by Sport England’s Place-based expansion investment and partners with local authorities, health sector and third sector organisations.
Your role
You will work as part of the Place-based Partnership team and provide administrative support for the partnership team and local partners. You will support the development of a place-based approach focused on improving health and wellbeing of local communities.
Success in this role requires excellent communication, listening, and organisational skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage administrative tasks for the team and partners
Assist with planning and logistics for events and meetings
Maintain accurate records and databases
Provide support for reporting and evidence gathering
Communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders
Qualifications
Experience in administrative or office support roles
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Proficiency in office software and digital tools

How you’ll work
Our hybrid working model offers flexibility – you’ll work from the office and from home as appropriate. Some travel within East Suffolk and surrounding counties will be required.
Your office base
Riduna Park, Melton – opposite the Melton train station, with shuttle to Lowestoft and Ipswich.
