Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving:
Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Communicate with Shipping and Receiving Clerks to identify scheduled shipments and assigned dock doors.
Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
Verify labels, product codes, and pallet conditions before shipping or after receiving.
Report any discrepancies, damage, or labeling issues to supervisors immediately.
Complete required documentation such as breakdown sheets, pick tickets, or shipping logs.
Secure and close truck and dock doors once tasks are completed.
Maintain proper spacing and load distribution in trailers based on driver or shipping requirements.
Inventory Support:
Move products between storage, staging, and production areas based on inventory needs.
Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle counts as requested.
Maintain accuracy in product handling and location transfers to ensure inventory integrity.
Support the Inventory team in organizing and optimizing warehouse space.
Production & Materials Handling:
Supply raw materials or packaging to production lines as needed.
Remove finished goods or waste from production areas and transport to appropriate locations.
Assist with pallet removal, cleaning, and organization around production lines.
Communicate with Production and Materials Coordinators regarding material flow or shortages.
General Support & Housekeeping:
Support other areas during downtime or when specific tasks are not assigned.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in all areas.
Dispose of broken pallets, damaged containers (RPCs), or excess packaging material properly.
Comply with all safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe forklift operation standards.
Skills & Competencies:
Valid forklift certification or proven experience.
High attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Knowledge of warehouse safety rules and forklift operation procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of forklift experience in warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing environments.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Basic understanding of shipping, inventory, and production workflows.
