The Food and Beverage Manager for The Moon's Daughters will oversee the food and beverage areas of the award‑winning rooftop bar within Thompson San Antonio‑Riverwalk. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.
Other Food & Beverage Manager’s responsibilities may include:
Supports and manages the bars and restaurants while working closely with other hotel departments.
Ensures effective hiring, training, development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
Leads and coaches the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
Full understanding of colleague engagement.
Assists in planning, coordinating and managing special events and holiday functions.
Qualifications Food & Beverage Manager is an integral part of the hotel's overall Food & Beverage team. Candidate must meet the following qualifications:
Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends, holidays and a varied schedule.
A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point‑of‑sale systems.
Candidate should be extremely detail‑oriented and organized.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage Management or Supervisor preferred.
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service.
