What we need: Mohawk is looking for a Roll Up Operator in the Calhoun, Ga area. In this role, you will operate the roll up machine.
What you’ll do:
Ensure carpet is cut at proper length
Make sure all defects are cut out
Help in wrapping rolls for shipment and in oven detail as needed
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
What you have:
High school diploma or GED preferred
No prior experience required
What you’re good at:
Problem solving ability is required
Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, mechanical skills, math skills and judgement skills
Pays attention to details
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
Must be able to motivate and work well with others
What else?
Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance
Frequently required to look at the carpet for cutting roll size
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds continuously throughout an 8-12 hour shift
Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
