Job Summary Safely operate propane or electric‑powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as fork arms, swivel‑hook, fork‑grapple, clamps, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a warehouse environment.

Essential Job Functions

Conduct pre‑shift safety inspections on all equipment operated.

Report all defects to supervisor immediately and ensure the equipment is locked and tagged out of service.

Utilize the powered industrial truck to:

Load and unload trucks as needed.

Move materials to and from storage or to a workstation.

Stack and unstack materials for storage and product weighing.

Transfer donations throughout the production and salvage processes.

Ø Dump trash from the forklift dumpster attachment.

Ensure the equipment being operated is properly refueled.

Use appropriate equipment such as a dolly, pallet jack, or flat cart when a powered truck is not required.

Meet minimum daily production goals.

Review and be familiar with Goodwill safety policies, programs, and operating procedures.

Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and attend all applicable safety training sessions.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, preferred.

Forklift certification experience preferred.

Must be able to pass forklift certification through Goodwill Central Oklahoma.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Valid driver’s license.

Maintain a good driving and safety record.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, twist, push, pull, bend, kneel, reach for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Good finger dexterity and sensation; frequent repetitive motions.

Talking, good hearing, and visual acuity.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to exert 150–300 pounds of force.

Good eye/hand coordination and motor skills.

Position is safety‑sensitive; no impairment from drugs, alcohol, or prescription medications is acceptable.

Work Conditions/Environment

Warehouse environment that may contain allergens such as dust and pollens, extreme heat and cold.

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.

Noise level is moderate.

Must be available to work during operating hours as needed, including days, holidays, and weekends.

Works 40 hours per week or more when required.
