Base pay range $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr
A growing food manufacturer is seeking a skilled
HVAC/R Maintenance Technician
to support a high-volume, temperature‑controlled production environment. This role helps ensure safe, efficient operation of refrigeration, air handling, and climate control systems that protect food quality and employee safety.
What You'll Do
Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems, including chillers, freezers, compressors, condensers, and air handling units
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
Monitor and adjust environmental controls to support food safety and quality standards (HACCP, USDA, FDA)
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
Maintain EPA‑compliant refrigerant handling records
Work in cold production areas as needed with proper PPE
Follow LOTO and other OSHA safety procedures
Support energy‑efficiency and system‑upgrade initiatives
What You Bring
3+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC/R experience (food manufacturing or cold storage preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
EPA refrigerant certification a plus
Comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
Willingness to work overtime or on‑call when needed
