Job Description
Title: Assistant Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES:
Must be 18 years of age.
Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Have access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
Possess navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.
General Job Duties (All Store Team Members)
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Accurate arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide (calculator may be used).
Make correct monetary change.
Verbal, written, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
Motor coordination between eyes, hands, and fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Navigate maps, locate addresses, and traverse adverse terrain while carrying product.
Work Conditions Exposures include varying weather, temperature extremes (36°F to 90°F+), fumes, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools, and sharp edges.
Physical Requirements
Standing: most tasks are performed while standing on ceramic tile or linoleum.
Walking: short distances for short durations; deliveries between store and vehicle.
Sitting: paperwork completed at a desk or table.
Lifting: bulk deliveries up to 50 pounds; cases stacked up to 72" high.
Carrying: items from 3 lbs to 30 lbs, including large cans, pizza dough trays, and pizza with beverages.
Pushing/Pulling: trays on dollies, requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
Climbing: occasional stairs or ladders, up to five flights during delivery.
Additional Information Stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching are performed repeatedly throughout the day, especially at the pizza assembly station and front counter.
Driving: deliver pizzas and promotional materials within the designated area using the company vehicle.
Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands for dough handling, pizza peel, rolling cutter, and box assembly.
Machines, Tools, Equipment: pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
