Forklift Driver
Position Objective
Well-established paper packaging manufacturer in the Waukegan/North Chicago area is seeking a Forklift Driver to work in our receiving department. This position will require driving the forklift and working in the warehouse.
Qualifications
Must be experienced in operating a sit-down and clamp forklift.
Proficient with a hand scanner and tablet.
Possess good language skills (verbal & written) to comprehend instructions, and to communicate properly with others.
Be self-motivated, and able to work without close supervision.
Honest, dependable, safety and quality conscious.
Bi-lingual preferred.
Good job history required.
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Job Responsibilities
Move materials to and from machines to locations.
Document any damaged goods received.
Load and unload trucks with a sit-down or clamp forklift and pallet jack.
Ensure paperwork from all deliveries is given to the proper department.
Work Environment Conditions
Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
Fast paced warehouse with exposure to machinery noise.
Training
Must complete online and classroom training as required.
Visual Activity Required
Must wear corrective lenses if required on driver's license.
