Job Summary
The Marketing Content and Automation Specialist plays a key role in both the strategic and tactical execution of First Harvest Credit Union's marketing initiatives. This position combines hands‑on campaign management, content creation, and general marketing department support with ownership of the credit union's marketing automation and email marketing platform. The ideal candidate has a balance of creativity and analytical skills, with experience building automated campaigns that drive engagement, growth, and retention.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
Support in the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that promote credit union products, services, and brand awareness.
Facilitate marketing projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Write and design content for member communications including email, web, social media, and print.
Support community outreach efforts, sponsorships, and events to increase visibility and member engagement.
Provide related communication and event support to team members as directed, which may include, but is not limited to, event planning, or curation and production of company presentation materials.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with departments (Lending, Member Services, IT, etc.) to align marketing with operational priorities.
Marketing Automation & Email Marketing
Own day‑to‑day management of the credit union's e‑mail marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot).
Develop and maintain automated workflows for member onboarding, cross‑sell, re‑engagement, and retention campaigns.
Create segmented lists and dynamic content to deliver personalized communications based on member behavior and lifecycle stage.
Analyze campaign and automation performance using dashboards and reporting tools; provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Work closely with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and optimize integration between marketing systems and the core banking platform.
Continuously test and refine automations, email content, and workflows to improve engagement rates and ROI.
Analytics & Optimization
Track KPIs across campaigns (e.g., open/click rates, conversion, membership growth, loan applications, and deposits).
Use data to inform creative strategy, campaign timing, and audience targeting.
Support monthly and quarterly reporting for leadership, summarizing marketing performance and trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in financial services, credit unions, or community banking.
1–2 years of hands‑on experience with marketing automation or CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools (email platforms, social media management, Google Analytics).
Strong writing and editing skills; ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
Familiarity with basic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Salary The base pay for this position is $25/hr. A $.50 premium may be added if the applicant is able to demonstrate a proficiency in both English & Spanish (oral & written).
