It’s every one of us working together.We offer a place where you can feel safe, be supported, and make an impact so we can all focus on the future together.**Essential Functions*** Lead implementation of the Huhtamaki Safety Plan and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.* Promote World Class Operations (WCO) by identifying improvement opportunities and developing team capabilities.* Communicate WCO initiatives and results to management* Develop and monitor health, safety, and food safety procedures across departments to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.* Create and manage monthly safety training plans, including annual and refresher sessions.* Conduct annual safety audits and facility inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.* Maintain and update safety and food safety documentation (SSOPs, SOPs, JSAs, training materials).* Investigate workplace incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.* Oversee and lead SQF program execution, maintain certification, and lead audit readiness across all SQF elements.* Manage contingency plans for emergencies, hazardous spills, and fire prevention in line with regulations.* Ensure environmental compliance, including hazardous waste handling, reporting, and EPA documentation.* Administer quality control programs, customer complaint resolution, and product specification updates.* Collaborate with HR to manage workers’ compensation, claims, and return-to-work programs.* Perform additional duties as assigned.**Job Qualifications***Required** Strong written and verbal communication skills* SQF Practitioner and HACCP training (required within 3 months of hire)* Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance* Manufacturing safety and industrial hygiene expertise* Ability to manage multiple tasks independently* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies* Proficient in MS Office; MRP/ERP experience preferred* Change agent*Preferred** Safety professional certification is highly desirable* Food Safety certification* College degree, preferably in the Math/statistics/Engineering field.**Environment**Hot humid environment during the summer months, noise levels always require hearing protection on the production floor.Requires walking (*45%*), standing (*35%*) and sitting (*20%*).

Requires *walking the production floor daily*, twisting, bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling, and reaching above, at and below the shoulders. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand for *extended* periods of time.Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.This position requires frequent communication with internal and external request for information regarding maintenance projects or activities.
