The Data Analyst will work directly with our clients to identify, build and maintain reports and visualization of their data, as well as transforming data from legacy systems and importing it into Kaseware. Applicants should have scripting skills in programming languages like SQL and Python, as you will be responsible for writing queries and other data transformation scripts as well as experience working directly with end users. You must also have experience in using APIs, as the role will also involve creating custom data migration strategies for our clients. This role is essential to our clients, as the data and analysis you provide will inform our client’s business strategy as we move into the future.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Uses modeling techniques and tools in analyzing and specifying data structure in large and/or complex data sets

Implementing best practices in data management to ensure the integrity of the data, the quality of data processes and delivers analyzable or analyzed data to a variety of internal and external clients

Understanding and transforming client data from disparate legacy systems into the Kaseware application

Working directly with customers to understand their data and visualization needs

Writing SQL scripts and queries to extract, migrate and visualize client data

Developing complex advancement reports using SQL, PowerBi, Microsoft Office and other utilities or languages as necessary

Transforming and importing data from legacy systems into Kaseware by utilizing Kaseware APIs and/or the Kaseware import tool

Utilizing Metabase to create client-facing reports, visualizations and dashboards

Performing ad hoc and structured data analysis

Identifying data issues proactively and flagging them to respective stakeholders

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Economics or a related field

Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst

Experience in data analysis, warehousing, and reporting

SQL skills and experience with other programming languages associated with data analytics

Experience in writing and using custom APIs

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Advanced technical skills

Excellent documentation skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience using Metabase or a similar business intelligence tool

Other Requirements:

Language: English

Must have currently or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Benefits:

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
