Senior Client Development Manager – Interim Finance & Accounting Placements
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid / Remote Flexibility)
Compensation: $80,000–$85,000 base + uncapped commission
Overview Our senior consulting division specializes in placing interim finance and accounting leaders — including CFOs, Controllers, Assistant Controllers, Finance Managers, Senior Accountants, and other senior finance professionals. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Client Development Manager to join our team in a sales-focused capacity, driving client relationships and revenue growth. This is an employee role with strong hybrid/remote flexibility and the opportunity to work with a highly specialized and high-performing team.
Responsibilities & Experience Includes
Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior finance executives, understanding their interim finance and accounting staffing needs.
Own the full sales cycle: identify opportunities, pitch solutions, negotiate terms, and close placements of interim finance professionals.
Collaborate closely with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure successful placement and client satisfaction.
Conduct market research and maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to proactively position our services.
Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to leadership.
Contribute to business development strategies, including identifying new markets and service lines to expand revenue.
Requirements
5–7+ years of proven success in the staffing or recruiting industry, ideally in finance/accounting or professional services placements.
Strong track record of sales performance, quota attainment, and client relationship management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with comfort engaging with senior executives.
MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
