Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24‑hour emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sort of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. We have numerous specialty departments and a tech’s day could involve a macaw with a broken beak, time in an advanced operating room, watching orthopedic surgeons replace a dog’s elbow, or operating an MRI. It’s a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high‑paced, renowned animal hospital.
Role Responsibilities
Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements
3 years of experience as a veterinary technician working extensively in specialty surgeries.
Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care.
Comfortable caring for dogs and cats, or any other animal that may need emergency or urgent care.
