Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative data solutions, is seeking a Systems Development Engineer II to join their team. As a Systems Development Engineer II, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting the Data Operations Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Understand how commodity servers, operating systems, and networks function, perform, and scale
Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation.
Design server monitoring and management solutions using automation and self-repair techniques.
Create processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact.
Resolve complex problems at their root by analyzing failure patterns and implementing long-term solutions through automation and simplification.
What's Needed?
Computer Science or equivalent technical degree with 2-5 years of experience in software development and support.
Experience in C++, Jira and data pipelines
Experience in QA/Quality Assurance, system monitoring and cross-team collaboration
In-depth knowledge of and experience deploying and operating Linux or other UNIX variants in a data center environment.
Proficiency in automation via Perl/Python programming and shell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.).
Experience with system monitoring, security best practices, and building SQL queries.
Excellent project management skills and ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
