$49,000 - $60,000 Based on experience

The Associate Director will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing strategies to enhance the academic skills of secondary students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Toledo community. Key responsibilities include developing academic and summer components, producing quarterly program newsletters, preparing annual performance reports, recruiting Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science students, coordinating pre- and post-testing, setting up Math and Science events, workshops and tours, coordinating the annual National Trio Week event, organizing parent sessions for all program meetings, providing ACT/SAT preparation, designing evaluation materials, providing academic advising, managing student data, monitoring tutoring sessions, and working directly with university departments, the Toledo community and Toledo Public school systems. Evening and weekend work, travel and other duties as assigned by the director are required.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree required in education, guidance counseling, statistics, sociology or related field.

Two years administrative or teaching experience.

Experience overcoming circumstances of target population.

Experience with statistical analyses.

Clean driving record.

Communication and Other Skills

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and report writing.

Computer literacy.

Ability to compare, compile, evaluate data.

Well developed organizational and administrative skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with low‑income and first‑generation college‑bound students.
