DoDEA School-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Kind Behavioral Health is a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis services, dedicated to improving the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”). We provide life‑changing treatment to children with ASD, delivering outstanding quality care and exceptional clinical outcomes, in an environment where all employees are encouraged to think big, have fun, do good, and be kind. We deliver treatment through individualized plans of care and target socially significant behaviors, enabling the clients we serve to lead more independent, successful lives.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RBT for an exciting and rare opportunity to join the dynamic educational team with the Fort Liberty School District, supporting our military families in a school‑based setting. In this role, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The DoDEA School‑Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides behavioral support to students with autism and complex behavioral needs in a military school setting, including those with active Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) requiring consistent implementation and data collection. Working under the supervision of Board‑Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), the RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans, models positive behavioral strategies for classroom teams, and supports inclusive learning environments.
This position is on‑site at Fort Liberty base schools and follows a year‑round school schedule with shorter breaks throughout the year rather than a traditional summer recess. The RBT will receive pay continuity during scheduled school breaks, consistent with the structure of a school‑based position.
Role Responsibilities - Implementation of Behavior Plans & Student Support
Provide one‑on‑one behavioral support to assigned students (typically two: one in the morning, one in the afternoon).
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and instructional programs designed and overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Support students with complex behavioral needs using function‑based interventions, reinforcement systems, and other evidence‑based strategies.
Apply de‑escalation and crisis‑prevention strategies with composure and consistency.
Ensure treatment integrity and follow BCBA feedback to maintain fidelity of implementation.
Role Responsibilities - Data Collection, Documentation & Reporting
Collect behavioral data (frequency, duration, ABC, IOA) to guide BCBA decision‑making and monitor student progress.
Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all documentation per DoDEA and KBH standards.
Support completion of data summaries, progress reports, and other deliverables required under the contract.
Participate in behavioral crisis debriefs and provide observations to inform plan refinement
